Inspired by the tenacious young women around me, I am proud to introduce the Female Leadership and Mentor Exchange – FLAME.

FLAME seeks to advance and empower next generation female leaders by creating and encouraging mentor relationships between women in executive level leadership roles with young women attending college or beginning a career.

It is well documented that mentors can help young women build confidence in themselves and overcome self-doubt in pursuing executive or leadership roles. That said, a 2017 study by professional services firm Egon Zehnder found that only 54% of women have access to senior leaders who act as mentors or informal sponsors in their career. (Forbes.com)
